ICBA Awards and Contests

As a part of its commitment to members and the construction industry, ICBA sponsors a number of awards, scholarships, and contests. The contests and awards are diverse – but the goals are the same – celebrating the open shop construction sector, its employees, and their skills.

First Annual Gold Seal Scholarship

DEADLINE: September 24, 2010

This brand new scholarship will send one senior employee of an ICBA member through the Gold Seal Certification course. Worth $3,000, the training leads up to the writing of the exam for Gold Seal Certificate, which is a declaration of skill and competence recognized by the construction industry from coast to coast.

Annual Safety Innovation Award

DEADLINE: October 1, 2010

Safety is top of mind and the foundation of everything we do in the construction business. That’s why ICBA is again joining forces with WorkSafeBC to present the $5,000 Construction Workplace Health and Safety Innovation Award.

The Award acknowledges individuals for their efforts in the prevention of workplace incidents, injuries and illnesses.

Safety Merits Contest
