First year apprentice bursary program
Beginning 2003, first-year apprentices working for ICBA members and registered through the ICBA Apprenticeship Program are now eligible for $100 bursary toward tuition fees. The bursary will be paid upon successful completion of level one apprenticeship training.
Following are the eligibility requirements:
- Apprentice must be registered through the ICBA Apprenticeship Program
- Apprentice must work for an ICBA member prior to attending class
- Apprentice must successfully complete level one
- Apprentice must return to work full-time for an ICBA member firm after level one
- Apprentice must meet all above criteria and submit the claim within six months of completing training

To apply for the bursary:
ICBA will send the bursary cheque made out to the apprentice, care of the ICBA employer. Please allow four to six weeks to process the refund.
The ICBA Apprentice Incentive Program that awards a $50 Home Depot Gift Card to apprentices scoring 90% or above at technical training also continues.
Important: The First Year Apprentice Bursary Program and the ICBA Apprentice Incentive Program only apply to apprentices registered through the ICBA Apprentice Program.
