BC Construction Associations Unveil New Jobsite with over 650 Job Postings
Vancouver, B.C. – Three of British Columbia’s largest construction associations have officially launched www.bcconstructionjobstores.com today – a website that offers free listings for job seekers. The Canadian Homebuilders’ Association of BC (CHABC), BC Road Builders and Heavy Construction Association (BCRBHCA) and the Independent Contractors and Businesses Association of BC (ICBA) all list jobs on the BC Construction JobStores site.
“This is a one-stop-shop for jobs in construction,” said Phil Hochstein, President of ICBA. “Whether you’re interested in road building, residential construction or industrial construction, there has never been a better time to consider a career in this booming industry. Construction is one of the highest paid sectors of the economy and rewarding careers range from trades to office support,” added Hochstein.
The BC Construction JobStores site is offered as a members benefit for industry partners. Employers are able to post their job openings and request matches to qualified job seekers. The service is free to any job seeker who wants to register, and the site provides a map of British Columbia to make the search region-specific.
“This site makes it easy for our members to quickly find the right applicant and get that person out on the job site in short order,” said Jack Davidson, President of the BCRBHCA. “Most of our members are busy at work sites and don’t have a lot of time to review applications so this service makes it much easier to find the right people with the right qualifications,” added Davidson.
BC Construction JobStores was developed in partnership with WCG International Consultants Ltd., the parent company of highly successful human resources programs such as JobWave and Triumph Vocational Services. www.bcconstructionjobstores.com takes you directly to a window where the three partner associations are listed. Job seekers are welcome to apply for positions on any or all of the sites listed. Applicants can also utilize www.constructionjobstores.com, which lists open shop construction opportunities across Canada.
“We are a booming industry in need of people”, said M.J. Whitemarsh, CEO of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of BC. “BC Construction JobStores will assist our Residential Construction Industry Training Organization (RCITO) trainees to connect with our members and it will give our members an edge in getting qualified employees with the right fit, in our diverse and exciting industry,” added Whitemarsh.
