ICBA Apprentice Bursary Increases

ICBA is stepping up its commitment to help employees go to the next level in their careers.

Long a supporter of employees improving their skills through apprenticeship programs, ICBA is reinforcing that commitment by raising the Apprentice Bursary in 2007.

Apprentices working for ICBA members and registered through the ICBA Apprenticeship Program are eligible for a bursary toward tuition fees: $200 for level 1 and $100 for levels 2, 3 and 4 completed in 2007. ICBA-registered apprentices who score 90% or above at any level of technical training will receive a $50 Home Depot gift card.

Following are the eligibility requirements:
  • Apprentice must be registered through the ICBA Apprenticeship Program (call the office for more details)
  • Apprentice must work for an ICBA member prior to attending class
  • Apprentice must successfully complete level of training in 2007
  • Apprentice must return to work full-time for an ICBA member firm after schooling
ICBA will automatically process the apprentice bursary upon receipt of the transcripts from the ITA. ICBA will then send the bursary cheque made out to the apprentice, care of the ICBA employer. Please allow two to three months after completion of level of training to process the refund.

Important: Bursaries and gift cards are only available to apprentices registered through the ICBA Apprenticeship Program.
