HR Toolkit to Help BC Contractors

VANCOUVER – Construction contractors are so busy chasing work in these challenging economic times that when personnel issues arise they are often ill-prepared. To assist them with all their human resources issues, ICBA has developed The Construction Industry Human Resource Toolkit.

The CD-Rom contains a wealth of human resources information, forms, checklists and tips covering topics like hiring, termination, employee handbooks and employee evaluations. As an added service, ICBA will keep the HR Toolkit current through periodic updates and bulletins. The HR Toolkit and updates are free to ICBA members and will be made available to others for a fee.

In conjunction with the HR Toolkit, ICBA will be hosting seminars on troublesome HR issues. The first set of seminars will focus on how to use the Toolkit to handle personnel matters. Seminars are scheduled in Burnaby (November 17), Victoria (November 18) and Kelowna (November 19). Non-members can sign up for the seminars, and will receive a copy of the HR Toolkit at the seminar.

For information on registering for these sessions or purchasing the HR Toolkit, contact ICBA at 604-298-7795 or visit www.icba.ca.
